When someone’s depressed, stating obvious comments like these are usually counter productive.
I’ve heard all of these before. And then some. People who don’t experience depression don’t understand how you can’t just ‘Be happy’. They think changing your lifestyle will help. In many cases, yes, it will. But if it were that easy depression would not be so hard to get rid of and affecting millions of people.
For many, including me, it’s a challenge to just get out of bed in the morning, weighed down by constant negative emotions. It’s not that we want to be unhappy, our brains just don’t understand the concept of ‘WOW. The world is such an extraordinary place and it’s great to be alive.’
This is so true, it hurts. I used to be one of those people, and still am, I suppose, I found the greatest things about every thing. My eyes would get wide in wonder when I would just think “Man… I can SEE”. But Even people like me get depression, its not the way I live, its not something I can fix on my own, and it hurts when people tell me that I am being ridiculous and need to just snap out of it.
i just love how everyone treats kurt like he’s delicate when he’s a fucking badass and the toughest guy in the show
You don’t have to be a hulking macho dude to be fierce and strong and tough. And I love it when they let Kurt show us that.
This. Finally someone said it.
I think people still see him as being vulnerable like he was in season one/start of season two. He was still a fucking badass, but he was definitely vulnerable. And really, the fact he still stands up against homophobes after being vulnerable to them makes him even more badass imo.
